Wallet Hub ranked Denver the 12th best city to live in for cities with a population over 300k. CO Springs ranked 9th and Aurora #22. Wallet Hub looked at 5 factors: affordability, economy, education and health, quality of life and safety.
The Denver Post ran a story last week from Yardi Matrix data that said that apartment building nationally is down 11% this year and that Denver is one of the few cities seeing big gains. Yardi Matrix says that 7,651 apartments have been completed this year in metro Denver and that another 13,739 will be finished in the second half of the year. It will be interesting to see the Apartment Association of Metro Denver’s report that will be out soon. I can’t imagine that builders would be able to complete 20k new apartments in one year.
