Being Uninformed is Dangerous

According to Betterment.com 44% of 2,000 Americans surveyed in August thought that the stock market had been flat over the last 10 years. Another 18% thought the stock market was down over the last 10 years. That’s nearly 2/3 of Americans who are uninformed about the stock market. WOW!!!

The truth is the S&P 500, the broadest measure of our stock market was at 1281 in August 2008 (its closing average for the month). The S&P 500 closed last Friday at 2914 or 128% ABOVE its level from 2008.

I bet a large percentage of those surveyed don’t have any stock market investments either which is dangerous to your financial future. This is another reason why the gap between “the rich and the poor” is widening.
