Colorado Has Many Top Housing Markets

SmartAsset listed last week their Top 10 Housing Markets report based on data from 2012-2016 as they looked at 3 factors. First, is the 5 year difference in population growth and new housing growth, second is the change in home values over those 5 years, and then the change in median household incomes from 2012-2016.

Colorado has 4 cities in the Top 10—Denver at #2, Greeley at #3, Aurora at #5 and Ft. Collins at #8. Plus these 5 cities made the Top 50 list—Boulder, Westminster, Thornton, Arvada and Centennial.

Only 6 of the top 25 cities has seen faster median household income growth than Denver as the median household income rose by 14.6% from 2012-2016 says SmartAsset. Denver saw the 6th fastest increase in median home prices at 18.84%. This is much lower than what i have seen recorded thru DMAR stats.
