Colorado added 8,600 new nonfarm payroll jobs last month, more than double the monthly pace of the previous 12 months.
The unemployment rate remained at 3%
According to the U.S. Census Bureau 77,049 net new people moved to Colorado in 2017 and CO now has a population of 5,607,154 people.
The Denver metro area grew by 36,379 people last year.
Denver County and City now has over 700k people. Since 2010 Denver County and City has grown by 101k people!
Back in 1990 Denver’s population was just 467k.
The Bureau of Economic Analysis released their personal income report for 2017 and it revealed that income growth in CO grew by 4.1% last year, a full point ahead of the national average. No state east of CO saw growth > 4%.
