Nearly 30% of Denver Homes Sell For More than List Price

Zillow released a report on the number of homes selling for more than list price in Denver and throughout the country for the month of September. Here is what Zillow found-
Nationally 22.4% of all homes sold above their listing price in September.
Here in metro Denver nearly 30% of our homes sold above their listing price. This rate more than doubled from 14.4% in September 2019.
Denver was one of only 5 metro areas that saw this big of an increase.
Metro Denver homes that sold for more than list price sold for an average of $15,715 more than their list price.
Competition was the fiercest for homes priced in the middle fifth of the market, or priced between $355k and $430k. In this price band 44.5% of metro Denver homes sold over list price.
And even in the top fifth of the market 19% of those homes sold for over list price.
