Our Jobs Recovery Rate is 100%

Our state lost 375k jobs in March and April 2020 due to Covid and since then our state has added back nearly 382k jobs in the past 22 months putting our job recovery rate at 102% and CO is one of only 11 states to reach 100%. As of February our state’s unemployment rate was 4% still well above the 2.8% rate in February 2020. But, our labor force participation rate is now the third highest in the country at 68.7% and above our rate of 68.4% in February 2020.

In metro Denver our unemployment rate was also 4% last month and we have recovered 105% of the jobs lost during Covid, good for third place in the state. Amazingly Grand Junction has recovered 124% of their lost jobs and CO Springs has recovered 119% of their lost jobs.
